Dozen Golden Eagles Earn Academic Honors
Another successful Feather River College baseball season on the field also included another year of success in the classroom.
The Golden Eagles had 12 players named to the Golden Valley Conference All-Academic Team, and additionally had six student-athletes earn 3C2A All-State Academic honors.
To be considered for the conference award, the player needs to be a sophomore (including redshirt freshmen) and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. To earn all-state academic honors, that GPA needs to be 3.5 or better.
Golden Eagle pitchers Michael Hoefgen, Bradyn Schneider and Will Page-Allen were all-state academic honorees. Infielders Dylan Marx and Justin Robinson and outfielder Rocco Crow were also on that list. They were of course also named to the All-GVC Academic Team.
Other Golden Eagles earning All-GVC Academic Team honors include Zane Denton, Grant McGuire, Shane Danley, Quinten Terrell, Anthony Cepeda and Kolt Kurzman.
From this academic group, Cepeda was also named the GVC Most Valuable Player. Denton, Marx and Danley were First Team All-GVC honorees and Crow and Kurzman were honorable mention.
