Bio
Sarah Ritchie:
Sarah Ritchie took over as Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Feather River College in 2006 and has built one of the most successful programs in California. Over her 19-year tenure, she has compiled an impressive 364–116 overall record, guiding her teams to 14 consecutive Golden Valley Conference Championships since 2010. Her leadership has earned her 10 Golden Valley Conference Coach of the Year honors, along with NorCal Coach of the Year recognition in 2019 and 2021.
The 2019 season marked the pinnacle of her career to date, as Coach Ritchie led Feather River to its first-ever CCCAA State Championship. Her squad finished with a 35–2 overall record, defeating perennial powerhouse Irvine Valley to end their undefeated season. Since then, she has captured 3 more CCCAA State Championships- 2 in indoor (2022 and 2024) and 1 in beach (2024).
Throughout her career, Ritchie has coached 9 AVCA All-Americans, 12 All-State selections, and 18 All-NorCal players. She has also helped more than 100 student-athletes continue their playing careers at four-year universities on athletic scholarships.
In addition to her indoor success, Coach Ritchie has served as Head Women’s Beach Volleyball Coach at Feather River for the past eleven years. Under her guidance, the Golden Eagles have captured two conference titles and competed in the CCCAA Beach Individual Championship for five straight years, including Elite 8 finishes in 2018. In 2022, her beach squad achieved its best result yet, finishing as the CCCAA State Championship runner-up.
Coach Ritchie currently lives in Quincy with her two sons, Jamison and Marcus.
