Golden Eagles Conference Champs, Host Playoff Game
Quincy - The Feather River College men's soccer team wrapped up the regular season on Tuesday (11/8) against College of the Redwoods. The Golden Eagles won by a score of 12-0. Devonte Richards, Tajio James, and Kieran Swanson all recorded hat tricks on the day. With the victory, Feather River finished the Golden Valley Conference (GVC) season with an impressive 7-1 record. The Golden Eagles finished the season as Co-GVC Champions with Butte College, who also finished with a 7-1.
The Golden Eagles finished the season with an overall record of 10-8. James led the Golden Eagles with 27 goals and 68 points. Richards was second on the team with 21 goals and 50 points. Swanson led the team in assists with 22.
Feather River College advanced to the California Community College regional playoffs. FRC earned the 13 seed in the Northern California region. They will face the number 20 seed, American River College out of the BIG 8 Conference. The Beavers come in with an overall record of 4-10-8.
