The Golden Eagles Football team moved to 4-1 on the season with an 83-7 victory at home versus Cabrillo College. Isaac Matthews exploded for 171 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in the 3rd quarter. Matthews scored on a 71-yard rushing touchdown and then took a kick-off 100 yards for another touchdown after the Seahawks only score of the contest. Sophomore Janerious Jackson from Atlanta, GA led all rushers with 125 yards and 3 touchdowns on 10 first half carries. The Golden Eagles ran just 37 offensive plays and tallied 619 total yards. Sophomore Defensive Back Michael Bryant returned an interception for a touchdown, while Kyle Valdez scored twice on just two receptions. The Golden Eagles will have a bye week and then travel to Los Medanos on Saturday, October 11th to open Conference Play.
