Golden Eagles Soar Into Bye Week With 62-20 Victory
Quincy - The Feather River College football team won its fifteenth consecutive game, dating back to last season, against West Hills Coalinga on Saturday by a 62-20 score. The win improved the Golden Eagles to 5-0 on the season.
Sophomore Quarterback Jared Taylor completed 17-of-20 passes for 235 yards and a career high six touchdowns. His touchdown tosses were to Sophomore Wideout's Jacob Backus twice, and Dalton Flowers twice. Also, touchdown passes to runningback Malik Dotson and Freshman H Back Epoki Tafea.
The ground attack of Malik Dotson, Tanner Hall, and Steven Keats produced 233 yards on 22 attempts and two touchdowns. Hall rushed for 103 yards on 10 attempts, Dotson rushed for 69 yards on 5 attempts, and Keats rushed 61 yards on 7 attempts.
Defensively, the Golden Eagles were lead by Josh Bass who recorded 8 tackles. Cole Eichele and Montrelle Martin recorded an interception for the Golden Eagles. Shane Curren and TJ Price recorded sacks for Feather River.
