Win Streak Up To Fourteen As Golden Eagles Win 70-3
Quincy - The Feather River College football team won its fourteenth consecutive game, dating back to last season, against Yuba College on Saturday by a 70-3 score. The win improved the Golden Eagles to 4-0 on the season, with three of the victories coming on the road.
Sophomore Quarterback Jared Taylor completed 13-of-20 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns. His touchdown tosses were to Sophomore Wideout's Jacob Backus, Sam Marshall, and Dalton Flowers.
The ground attack of Malik Dotson, Tanner Hall, and Dwight Williams produced 284 yards on 22 attempts and four touchdowns. Dotson rushed for 131 yards on 9 attempts, Hall rushed for 107 yards on 7 attempts, and Williams rushed 46 yards on 6 attempts.
Defensively, the Golden Eagles were lead by Cole Eichele who recorded 9 tackles. Cliffonte McDowell and Josh Bass recorded an interception for the Golden Eagles. As a team, Feather River had four sacks and twelve tackles for loss.
Up next, the Golden Eagles return home on Saturday against West Hills College Coalinga for a 1pm kick off at Brennan Stadium. Feather River College will be celebrating 20 years of football. Tom Casey, former FRC football coach, will honor Feather River College's 2002 inaugural football team at halftime. Free foam footballs will be available for children in attendance thanks to our Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS) department.
