Backfield Continues to Roll as Golden Eagles Win 40-22
Quincy - The Feather River College football team won its thirteenth consecutive game, dating back to last season, against Monterey Peninsula College on Saturday by a 40-22 score. The win improved the Golden Eagles to 3-0 on the season, with two of the victories coming on the road.
Sophomore Quarterback Jared Taylor completed 18-of-25 passes for 208 yards and one touchdown. His touchdown toss was on a spectacular catch by Sophomore Wideout Jacob Backus. On the ground, Taylor ran 15 times for 89 yards and one score.
The ground attack of Taylor, Malik Dotson, and Tanner Hall produced 280 yards on 41 attempts and five touchdowns. Dotson rushed for 128 yards on 12 attempts and Hall rushed for 63 yards on 14 attempts.
Defensively, the Golden Eagles were lead by Braden Robinson who recorded 11 tackles. Connor Davis and TJ Price both recorded 5 tackles and 1 sack. Cole Eichele recorded an interception.
Up next, the Golden Eagles hit the road again against Yuba College on Saturday for a 6pm kick off.
