Feather River to Host Lobos, Beavers
QUINCY--The Eagles Nest will be a host site for the 2026 3C2A Regional playoffs, beginning this coming Friday, May 1.
Feather River, the No. 5 seed in the North, will play at 3:30 pm, awaiting the loser of No. 12 seed Monterey Peninsula and the No. 20 seed American River. Those two teams will first square off at 11 am.
Quincy is one of eight sites in northern California to host a three-team, double-elimination tournament. After Friday's pair of games, action will continue on Saturday at 1 pm and Sunday at 11 am if necessary.
The Golden Eagles, the Golden Valley Conference champions, will enter postseason with a 29-11 overall record. They captured the GVC crown for the 16th time in the last 19 years, this time with a 21-4 record. FRC is 11-3 this year in games at the Eagles Nest.
This is Feather River's 26th consecutive postseason appearance.
FRC's opponents are the Lobos of Monterey Peninsula and the Beavers of American River. Monterey Peninsula finished third in the Coast-South Conference this year at 11-9, and the Lobos were 24-16 overall. American River was seventh in the Big 8 at 9-15 in league play and 18-22 overall. The Golden Eagles and Lobos have not played each other this season, but American River took two of three games off FRC last January.
