Team and Pairs Advance to State Championship
Quincy - The Feather River College Golden Eagle Beach Volleyball team has qualified for the California State Team Championship in Saratoga, California on the campus of West Valley College. Feather River College hosted the NorCal team qualifier on 4/30. Feather River defeated Monterey Peninsula College 5-0 and beat Sierra College 3-0 to continue onto the state championship. This is the third straight season that Feather River College will compete in the team state championship. Feather River starts tomorrow (5/9) against Mira Costa College at 9am.
Feather River College had three pairs qualify for the pairs state championship out of the NorCal Pairs Tournament that was hosted in Sacramento on 5/3 and 5/4. The pairs of Abby Cogburn/Franny Martins, Anna Bolich/Ashlee Kraft and Emma Daugherty/Kiyana Faupula will be representing Feather River College at the State Pairs Championship. The Pairs Championship will begin with pool play on 5/10 and finish up with bracket play on 5/11.
